An Indian Ocean island adventure.
Resting in the warm Indian Ocean just off the coast of mainland Mozambique, the Bazaruto Archipelago forms part of a protected marine park and consists of five idyllic islands: Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque, Santa Carolina and Bangue.
These small, sandy and exquisitely beautiful islands feature some of Africa’s best beaches as well as a number of large dunes and freshwater lakes.
Just offshore we explore a kaleidoscope of colourful corals teeming with an array of exotic marine life including manta rays, whale sharks, dolphins, turtles and hopefully dugongs.
Come wander with us as we hop from island to island exploring the rich ecologies and island communities of the archipelago; while lending a helping hand to the rangers from African Parks in our continued mission to track down and protect the elusive dugongs of Africa.
(For more on our work with dugongs, check out our exploration into GABON)
The truth is, we should all give a sh*t.
About the environment. About each other. About experiences that have integrity.
It's a bold stance to take in any industry - to care about the impact of every air mile, to look at data intelligently and honestly, and to use our profits for purpose.
WE DONATE R200 ON BEHALF OF EVERY EXPLORER TO
DO MORE. We support local initiatives in the regions we work in. Our end game is to make sure that we are developing responsible tourism practises. It takes a (global) village to make real change, but just one person to help another. So drop the judgments and HUG IT OUT.
WE ALSO GIVE A SH*T ABOUT CHAD.
